Servicing A Neighborhood Near You
Quality Pool Service in North Texas and Surrounding Areas You Can Trust. See our service areas below, from Dallas to Sherman, and call (214) 922-1914 to check your address.
Our North Texas Service Areas
Southern Pool + Outdoors works across North Texas, from Dallas and Carrollton in the south up to Sherman in the north. Our service areas cover sixteen cities: Allen, Plano, Frisco, Fairview, Carrollton, Wylie, Anna, Melissa, Dallas, McKinney, Richardson, Lucas, Prosper, Celina, Princeton and Sherman.
Every service we offer is available in every one of those cities. Some homeowners only need someone to keep the water right. Others need a repair, a new piece of equipment or a full remodel. Here is what you can book anywhere we work:
- Pool cleaning, including weekly pool service, filter cleaning, spa cleaning and tile cleaning
- Pool repairs for pumps, heaters, filters and spas
- Pool equipment installations for pumps, heaters, filters and lights
- Specialty services like acid washes, green to clean recovery, automation, salt systems and sand changes
- Commercial pool services for HOAs, apartments and hotels
- Pool remodeling, from a replaster to a full renovation
Every one of our service areas shares the same North Texas conditions: summer days over 100 degrees, hard fill water, spring pollen and fast-moving storms. That’s why the same standards apply on every route, with weekly visits, balanced water and filters cleaned on time.
Weekly customers get a dedicated route technician who learns your pool and your equipment. After each visit, you get a digital report with your chemical readings and anything that needs attention. There are no long-term contracts, and you don’t need to be home as long as we can reach the pool and the equipment.
If you live between two cities on the list, or just outside them, call (214) 922-1914 with your address. Our service areas grow as our routes do, and there’s a good chance we already have a tech nearby. Either way, you’ll get a straight answer.

What Changes From One Service Area to the Next
Pool care is mostly the same wherever you live in North Texas. The heat, the hard fill water, the spring pollen and the storms all hit every backyard. A few things do change from city to city, though, and they shape what your pool needs.
Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen and Richardson
These cities are all members of the North Texas Municipal Water District. Their tap water comes from the same regional system. Many neighborhoods here are well established, and pools in them often reach the age where finishes and equipment need attention. That’s where pool remodeling and equipment upgrades come in, alongside regular weekly care.
Wylie, Princeton, Melissa and Anna
This part of North Texas is growing fast. Census Bureau estimates show Princeton grew 30.6% in a single year, from 2023 to 2024, with Anna up 14.6% and Melissa up 10.0%. That kind of growth means a lot of brand-new pools. A new pool needs careful start-up, because fresh plaster keeps curing for weeks and needs daily brushing and balanced water early on. Wylie and Princeton are member cities of the water district, and Melissa buys its treated water from the district as well.
Prosper and Celina
Celina grew 18.2% between 2023 and 2024, reaching about 51,661 people by the Census Bureau’s estimate. New neighborhoods in Prosper and Celina bring new pools, new equipment and owners who are learning pool care for the first time. Getting the chemistry right in the first months protects the new finish and the new equipment.
Fairview, Lucas and Sherman
These communities sit a little apart from the bigger cities, and Sherman is the farthest north of our service areas. Some companies skip outlying routes. We don’t, and your pool gets the same weekly visit and report as a pool in Plano.
Dallas and Carrollton
Dallas Water Utilities disinfects its water with chloramine, and that matters when you top off a pool (more on that below). Dallas and Carrollton pools range from older backyards to newer builds, so the work runs from weekly care to pool repairs and upgrades.
Why North Texas Tap Water Matters for Your Pool
The water you add with the hose is part of your pool chemistry, and in most of our service areas it carries something extra: chloramine.
Chloramine in the Fill Water
The North Texas Municipal Water District and Dallas Water Utilities both disinfect drinking water with chloramine, which is chlorine combined with ammonia. That’s good for drinking water, because chloramine lasts longer in the pipes. In a pool, though, chloramine shows up on a test as combined chlorine. Combined chlorine does very little sanitizing, and it’s the same compound behind the sharp “chlorine” smell and red eyes. When fill water brings it in, it has to be treated out. The usual fix is raising free chlorine to about ten times the combined chlorine reading, which burns it off. That’s one reason we test combined chlorine at every weekly visit, not just free chlorine.
The Spring Chlorine Switch
Every spring, the water district temporarily stops adding ammonia and disinfects with chlorine alone. Cities like Melissa post notices about this annual chlorine maintenance, which usually runs about four weeks around March. During that window, your tap water carries free chlorine instead of chloramine. So a big top-off or a refill reads differently on a test. Pool owners who balance their own water should test before and after adding a lot of fill water that month.
Hard Water Everywhere
Hard water is common across all of our service areas. Summer evaporation makes it worse, because pure water leaves and the calcium stays behind. Every top-off adds more. Over a season, that buildup shows up as scale on the tile line and in the heater. We balance every pool with the Langelier Saturation Index, so the water neither eats the plaster nor drops scale. Our weekly pool service page explains how.
How Service Works Across Our Service Areas
Wherever you live on the list, the process is the same.
- Call (214) 922-1914 or request a quote online.
- We look at your pool and equipment and recommend a plan, from chemical-only to full service.
- Your route technician starts on a set schedule.
- After every visit, you get a digital report with readings, notes and anything that needs a repair.
Remodels and larger projects start with a free consultation and an estimate. Commercial properties get the same process with a few more steps, because Texas health rules apply to HOA, apartment and hotel pools.
